What types of compressed air couplings are there?

Not every compressed air coupling does the same job. A quick overview to help you choose the right one:

Push-in couplings — quick to fit without tools, ideal for temporary or flexible setups.
Quick couplings — for fast, safe disconnection under pressure, the standard choice for pneumatic tools in workshops and industry.
Plugs — the counterpart to the quick coupling; determines which system (e.g. Euro, Rectus) is compatible with your existing setup.
Manifold blocks — split one compressed air line into several outlets, useful when running multiple tools from a single line.

What connection and size do you need?

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a push-in coupling and a quick coupling for compressed air? A push-in coupling is fitted permanently and isn't meant to be disconnected regularly. A quick coupling is designed for exactly that: safe, one-action disconnection, even under pressure.

Which compressed air coupling fits my compressor? That depends on the system your compressor or tool already uses (often the Euro or Rectus system) and the thread size of the connection. Not sure? Get in touch with our technical team.

What else do I need besides the coupling? Usually at least sealing tape or paste, and depending on the setup, a hose clamp or reducing coupling.
