Hydraulic Hoses: Rubber, Thermoplastic, PTFE, Gates
A hydraulic hose needs to do three things at once: handle your system's working pressure, flex with the machine, and resist oil, heat and wear. Which construction you need depends on those three factors.
Rubber hoses with one or two wire braids (1SN, 2SN, 1SC, 2SC) cover most hydraulic applications at low to medium pressure. For higher pressure and heavier loads, a spiral hose with four or six wire layers (4SP, 4SH) rates up to 700 bar. Thermoplastic hoses are lighter and more flexible, useful where bend radius and weight matter. PTFE hoses handle high temperatures or aggressive media that rubber can't take. Our full Gates range covers a broad set of standard and specialist applications on top of that.
Not sure which construction fits your pressure, temperature and medium? Our technical support can help you choose, and we assemble custom hoses in our own workshop in Ghent, shipped the same day.
